This blog...
I have made this blog for the sole purpose of keeping track of the books I have read. Some day I will look back and say "WOW! I sure do read a lot!"
For those of you that come across this blog, I hope you find it useful. It may help you find your next book, get a new perspective on a book you've already read, or at the very least, provide a new way for you to waste a few minutes of your day.

The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender
I cannot say that I was really expecting something extraordinary, however I did wait about 4 months for the library to finally get this book to me...so I was hoping it would be better than it was. What it was was strange, plain and simple. The idea was really cool and there is so much more the author could have done with it. I guess it is one of those books that you have to appreciate for what they bring to the table. I think I put it in the same category as the Oscar Wao book I read a while back.
Oh well. To those of you interested in reading it, please do. Just realize that for me it was not worth the four month build up, so if crosses your path pick it up but I would not go out of my way for it. I feel sad saying this, but I just wish it had been more.

Emma by Jane Austen
Another wonderful Jane Austen novel. This is my third favorite from her. I really enjoy how naive Emma is, even though she doesn't think so. There are such amazing characters in this novel, just like all her others! The absurdly cautious Mr. Woodhouse, the pompous Mr. Elton, and the incredible Mr. Knightley. I could go on and on, but I would eventually let something slip about the plot. So despite Jane Austen being my favorite authoress I must keep my entry short or risk ruining the story for someone else!
