This blog...
I have made this blog for the sole purpose of keeping track of the books I have read. Some day I will look back and say "WOW! I sure do read a lot!"
For those of you that come across this blog, I hope you find it useful. It may help you find your next book, get a new perspective on a book you've already read, or at the very least, provide a new way for you to waste a few minutes of your day.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
I was introduced to this series by my younger sister, whom said it was one of her favorite series so far. After finishing this book I can see where she is coming from. This was a very entertaining story, very similar to Harry Potter. However it is not quite as good or creative. Not to say that this book was not full of imagination, it just seemed to be trying to out shine Harry Potter and not quite making it.
That said, I will be reading the rest of the series. I also must mention that I finished this book in one day. Not because it was an easy read but because it was catchy and exciting. It is also full fun twists and unexpected turns. I found it particularly hilarious that the entrance to the Underworld in in L.A. I wonder what the author is trying to say about L.A.?!! Those little witty and sarcastic inserts were my favorite part!
