This blog...
I have made this blog for the sole purpose of keeping track of the books I have read. Some day I will look back and say "WOW! I sure do read a lot!"
For those of you that come across this blog, I hope you find it useful. It may help you find your next book, get a new perspective on a book you've already read, or at the very least, provide a new way for you to waste a few minutes of your day.

Both ways is the only way I want it by Maile Meloy
I picked up this book because it was on Oprah's list and so far the books I have read from her suggestions have been really good (My Name is Mary Sutter and The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott). This book however was one of my least favorite. They are a bunch of short stories that must have some underlying meaning that I am totally missing. I have always like short stories, mostly those of Garcia Marquez...but this book was beyond me.
I found the stories to be about very strange topics, the only thing they seemed to have in common was that they took place in the middle of nowhere. That and the fact that I hated all of the endings, if you can call them an ending. It almost seems like the author was writing down her dreams and then forget what the rest of the dream was and end the story. Obviously not my kind of book.
