This blog...

I have made this blog for the sole purpose of keeping track of the books I have read. Some day I will look back and say "WOW! I sure do read a lot!"
For those of you that come across this blog, I hope you find it useful. It may help you find your next book, get a new perspective on a book you've already read, or at the very least, provide a new way for you to waste a few minutes of your day.

Living Dead in Dallas by Charlaine Harris

As I mentioned before I have been following the True Blood series on HBO. After finishing Dead Until Dark I clearly saw the differences between the book and the series. I think it sets them apart quite well, in my opinion it is better to use a book as the beginning of an idea and not try following word for word. The point is that I was very excited to read this book not only to see what happens, but also to see how different it is from the series. All I can say is that I was not disappointed.

I am not sure whether I like the book or the series more. I like the fact that the series has more characters to follow, but the book has a lot more action. I think the next book will help me decide because the third season for True Blood won't be out yet, and I can enjoy the book for itself and not compare it to anything. If I were not set on using my local library I would have bought the whole series by now...but I think that would turn me in to a hermit and I don't think my loved ones would appreciate that; plus the library is awesome!
